Best of 2019 – Weddings

2019 – wow. What an awesome year! I can’t believe it’s over already. One of my absolute favorite things to do at the end of the year is to go back through all of the weddings and sessions that I photographed. 2019 brought me the most incredible clients, and I truly loved working with and serving each and every one of them! It’s because of these amazing people that I am able to do what I love. So with that being said, here’s a look back through the best of 2019 weddings!

Taylor & Marcela – December 18, 2019

Taylor and Marcela were sealed in the Portland, Oregon temple. Taylor grew up near my home town and our dads actually went to nursing school together! It was great to connect with their family. Taylor met Marcela while living in Utah. She grew up in Honduras and was finishing up school in Salt Lake City! I did their engagements in Idaho and then traveled home to Oregon to capture their gorgeous wedding day – which allowed me to visit my family for Christmas!

Taylor & Tracen – December 14, 2019

I met Taylor and Tracen while attending a videography workshop back in August. They modeled for a cute in-home engagement session! We reconnected afterwards and I was able to shoot video for their wedding day in December! They were married in the ballroom at the Healing Sanctuary in Idaho Falls, which is such a gorgeous venue! Here’s a little look into their special day:

Maci & Ty – December Bridals

Maci and Ty were married on December 28, 2019 in Washington! I had the opportunity to capture their bridal portraits here in Idaho before they traveled for their wedding day. Maci grew up in Washington and Ty grew up here in Rigby, Idaho. They are both studying in the Nursing program at BYU-Idaho, and met while taking a class together!

Kassi & Ashton – October 12, 2019

Kassi and Ashton were married on the most beautiful Fall day in Price, Utah. It was so much fun to travel down to capture their special day! These two grew up together, and then moved up to Logan to attend school at Utah State University. We met in Logan in July while I was in town for another wedding, and we were able to capture their engagement portraits! Their wedding day was so much fun.

Morgan & Cody – October Bridals

Morgan and Cody were married in Washington as well! I had the opportunity to capture their bridal portraits while they were living here in Idaho. They chose one of my favorite locations – the sand dunes. Their bridals turned out absolutely stunning with that glowy sunset peeking through over the dunes!

Anthony & Lindsay – September 21, 2019

Anthony and Lindsay were married in the backyard of their home in Boise, Idaho! They shared some of the most awesome vows with an intimate crowd of close friends and family, and partied hard! I loved their purple color palette, and that gorgeous apple tree.

Kylie & Joe – August 30, 2019

As much as I love to travel, it was awesome to have this wedding day right in my town of Rexburg, Idaho! Kylie and Joe met while attending BYU-Idaho and were sealed in the Rexburg temple on a gorgeous summer afternoon. These two were just so much fun, filled with energy and excitement! They had a fun, backyard reception afterwards which an epic sparkler exit at the end!

Shelby & Garrett – August 17, 2019

Shelby and Garrett were married at the Idaho Falls temple on a beautiful summer day! They were such a joy to work with, and I got to work with them a lot. We captured their engagement session, bridal session, and wedding day – so by the end we felt like friends and turned out to be absolute pros at taking pictures! Shelby and I also had a floral arranging class together at BYU-I a couple years ago, so it was extra awesome to reconnect.

Heike & Clay – August 9, 2019

Heike and Clay were married at the Chapel of the Transfiguration in Grand Teton National Park. They traveled all the way from Texas to be married in front of the most gorgeous (in my opinion) mountains ever! They love hiking and backpacking, and brought their camper and hiking gear for their honeymoon in the park afterwards!

Marina & Enoch – July 20, 2019

Marina and Enoch were sealed in the Logan, Utah temple in July! Marina’s ancestors actually worked on the construction of this temple so it had an awesome meaning for their wedding day! I got to capture their engagement session in Rexburg and then travel down for their wedding, which was so much fun! This location never disappoints.

Ashley & James – June Bridals

I had the opportunity to work with Ashley and James for both their engagements and bridals! They were later married in August in Arizona. But man was I stoked to take them to Grand Teton National Park for their bridal portraits! This gorgeous summer sunset over those mountains made for some of my all time favorite images. Can you tell I like this place a lot? These two were a blast to work with!

Coco & Sharath – May 28, 2019

Coco and Sharath eloped in Grand Teton National Park with a stunning video of the Tetons at Schwabacher’s Landing. They love traveling to National parks together, and came from California to be married here! What an awesome day and adventure for them!

Jacob & Emily – May 11, 2019

Jacob and Emily met while attending a mutual friend’s wedding here in Rexburg! They were sealed in the Rexburg temple in May with a super fun, dance party-type reception at the Atrium in Hemming Village! These two and their families were so much fun, and I am forever obsessed with Emily’s dress and their spring colors!

Brylie + Sean – February Bridals

I’ve mentioned before that the beginning of 2019 was one of my lowest lows in my business. After a successful year in 2018, I was shocked to come to a complete stand still. I very much had to face the the decision whether or not to continue, which I really hate to admit. During that long, slow winter, I had lots of support from family and friends! But I’m so grateful for these to for helping me get out and shoot during a time where I was ready to throw in the towel. They helped me spark that passion again that helped me push through! And if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t have been able to work with all of these incredible people.

As I look back on all of these images I am just so crazy grateful! Thank you to everyone that turned my 2019 into one of the best years yet! I can’t wait to work with more of you in 2020 and see where this little business of mine takes me. Thank you for your love and support!

XOXO

McKenzie
