September 2019
Keni and Porter met while attending BYU-Idaho, and were married in Utah this last December! Their session will always be quite memorable for me, because I was stung by a bee for the first time in my life, so that’s one way to break the ice! After their engagement session, I ran into Porter (at my house, as he was delivering my Jimmy Johns order – yet another one of my addictions)! He left one of their wedding invitations on my door step, which I thought was so fun! It turned out so cute. These two were so sweet together and a blast to work with!
Let’s talk about BYU-Idaho as a photoshoot location. It get’s so overlooked, but it’s honestly so gorgeous, especially in the summer months. The variety is awesome between the apple orchard, the landscaping, and the greenhouses. And there is so much color! I think that in general couples that meet at BYU-I think this location is cliche, but because people think that, not very many people actually choose it! In the four years I’ve been photographing weddings and engagements, this shoot was only the third time I did an engagement session here. It’s also a great central location, close enough to go to so many options for a second location! These two chose Cress Creek, which I thought was an awesome combo. We had so much variety in just an hour shoot! Enjoy their adorableness:
